Nickel 405 is a nickel-copper alloy with high strength and toughness. This alloy also has excellent corrosion resistance in a range of media including seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulphuric acid and alkalis. Due to its increased sulfur content this material has enhanced machinability. Nickel 405 is often used for automatic screw machine stock, fasteners and meter / valve parts. (UNS N04405)
