K500 Solution Treated is a non-magnetic Nickel-Copper alloy which combines the corrosion resistance of Alloy 400 with greater strength and hardness. Capable of precipitation hardening / age hardening through the additions of aluminum and titanium. K500 is typically used in the aged hardened condition and found in oil and gas applications as well as marine environments that have a high salt content. The corrosion resistance of the alloy allows it to combat salt water for long periods of time. This alloy is frequently used for pump shafts, valves, gears, propeller shafts and for components in the Chemical, Oil and Gas Industries. (UNS N04400)
