Nickel 400 is a ductile nickel-copper alloy that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance under various conditions. The alloy is frequently used in mildly oxidizing environments to moderately reducing conditions. It has high strength and toughness, and is resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Nickel 400 is often used in steam generators, crude petroleum stills, marine components, chemical processing equipment and water treatment plant components. (UNS N04400)
