Fry Alloy X is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that offers excellent oxidation resistance and strength at elevated temperatures. This product possesses good formability, weldability, and machineability. This non-magnetic alloy is typically for parts, such as turbine rotors, shafts, flanges, blades, and bolts, requiring oxidation resistance up to 2200 F (1204 C) and relatively high strength above 1500 F (816 C). Fry Alloy X is frequently used to produce jet engine components, gas turbine parts, afterburners, tailpipes, petro-chemical components, and structural components. (UNS NO6002)
